Background
There are changes coming to the LSAT beginning with the August 2024 test administration. The Analytical Reasoning section (often referred to as “logic games”) will be replaced with a second scored Logical Reasoning section. The content in the Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension sections is not changing. Additionally, the LSAT Writing prompt has been redesigned to allow you to better demonstrate your analytical and argumentative writing skills. Since you will be taking the LSAT in LawHub, we know it’s helpful to prepare with practice tests that match the format of the test you’re taking. There are now two sets of test preparation materials and practice tests in LawHub.
Taking the LSAT Up to June 2024
Be sure you’re continuing to work with the practice tests under Up to June 2024 Format, including the LSAT Writing sample practice prompt. There is no change to the practice tests you have been using. You are on the right path to test day success!
Taking the LSAT In or After August 2024
If you’ve started working with practice tests in the current format, now is a good time to consider switching formats so you can start to get familiar with the redesigned test format, including the LSAT Argumentative Writing prompt. To help you with this transition, we created two reference guides so you can determine which practice test sections you have already used, and which new tests contain sections you haven’t already used.
Helpful Tip
The new practice tests for August 2024 and beyond, which do not include a logic games section, have three-digit numbers starting at 101. The current practice tests for up to June 2024 have two-digit numbers.
