Pathway Programs
There are a number of programs available that are dedicated to expanding access to legal education and that specifically focus on supporting individuals while they explore and pursue their interest in law. Participating in one of these programs can help you build the skills you need to succeed in law school and in your future career, learn more about the law school application process, and develop a supportive network as you take the next step in your journey. Whether you’re a first-year undergraduate or you’re preparing to enter law school, find the right opportunity for you.

California Indian Law Association's Pathway to Law
Geared toward Native and Indigenous pre-law students, this program covers the essentials of applying to law school with insights from law students, attorneys, LSAT staff, and admissions officers. After the program, each participant is matched with an attorney mentor for ongoing guidance.

The California Legal Pathways Collaborative brings the law to high school classrooms statewide with a three-year Career-Tech curriculum. Students explore legal careers, gain hands-on experience, and work closely with legal professionals throughout their high school journey.

CLEO ASAP - Achieve Success in the Application Process
A two-day summer seminar designed to help prospective law school applicants understand the importance of factors in the admission process that are often overlooked or undervalued.

CLEP Pre-Law Summer Institute
A multiweek online and residential program designed to prepare graduating seniors — or graduates who plan to attend law school in the fall — to be more competitive law school students. Those who successfully complete the program become CLEO or CLIC Fellows.

ConnectED is an educational virtual program designed to introduce high school students to the legal field. Students will hear the stories of federal judges and their journey to the bench, take a virtual courthouse tour, learn what it takes to become a law student, discuss current legal topics, and participate in workshops that build legal skills.

Summer Legal Institute, or "SLI," is Just The Beginning's cornerstone youth program. During this one-week legal immersion program, scholars participate in interactive, legal-focused activities that enhance their reading, writing, critical thinking, professional etiquette, financial literacy, and public speaking skills.

The Law and Leadership Institute is Ohio's premier pipeline to the legal profession, offering a four-year program that begins before 9th grade. Students study law, build civic leadership, and engage with eight partner law schools through teaching and fellowship experiences.

Plus, Guided Journey uses a strengths-focused, community-centered approach to support selected scholars to and through the law school application process. University of Minnesota Law School's Minnesota Pre-Law Scholars Program
Minnesota Pre-Law Scholars Track One provides a free virtual summer LSAT prep course, plus admissions guidance from Minnesota Law staff and career insights from alumni. Track Two offers admissions and career sessions. The program is open to students from any college or university applying this cycle.
